My Husband and Our Wonderful Marriage!

Same old story...I usually don't do these, but in honor of Valentine's Day, I'm dedicating this post to my wonderful husband, and I'm telling you more about us!
What is his name? Aaron Daniel Clift

How long have you been together? Our first date was January 13, 2005, but we didn't start "dating" until February 21.

How long did you date? We dated for three months before we got engaged, then we were engaged for four more months before we got married.

How old is he? 27 - We are 5.5 years apart.

Who eats more? These days, he snacks more than I do.
Who said I love you first? He did. We had been dating for six weeks, and we went and saw "The Incredibles" at the dollar theater that night.

Who is taller? Aaron, by 8 inches (but that's not hard to do when I'm only 5'2").

Who can sing better? Aaron sings better in the shower, and he's a better spontaneous composer, but I have the music callings at church.

Who is smarter? I think we are equally smart, but specializing in different areas. He calls me during the day to ask how to punctuate a sentence, but you would have to talk to him about insurance and investments.
Who does the laundry? Ha. I do. He irons his own shirts though!

Who pays the bills? I do. Even though he is the financial guy, I'm the one spending all the money. :)

Who sleeps on the right side? I do.

Who mows the lawn? Well, if we had a lawn, I'm sure Aaron would do it.

Who cooks dinner? I do, but Aaron makes a killer meatloaf!

Who drives? Aaron, but he's a very cautious driver, and when we're in a hurry, I wish I were driving.

Who is more stubborn? I am, definitely. Aaron doesn't have a stubborn bone in him! I'm sad to say that Mari has inherited subborness from me.

Who kissed who first? Funny story. Aaron had never kissed a girl before, but he basically told me that he wanted to kiss me, but after a few long moments of staring into a deer-in-headlight face, I was the one who had to lean in. :)
Who asked who out first? He did. I met him the night before, but he was supposed to be getting set-up with my roommate (but he didn't know). So I really didn't know him, but at BYU, it's pretty safe to go out with someone you don't know!

Who proposed? He did...but the proposal happened in stages, so it was never a real "surprise". We had decided to get married conference weekend, and the Monday night after that, we went and saw "Phantom of the Opera" at the dollar theater (we sure miss the dollar theater!) and went to Leatherby's afterward. While we were waiting for our ice cream, he opened the new Franklin Covey planner he got me that weekend (he worked for Franklin Covey for four years) and pointed to two dates: August 13th or 20th. I didn't want to get married on an odd numbered day (I'm a little Monkish) and I wanted to get married a few weeks before school started, so I chose August 12th instead. I got the ring a month later on May 7th when he formally asked me to marry him. :)

Who has more friends? I think it's about equal, but I keep in touch with more friends.

Who is more sensitive? I am, what are you saying?

Who has more siblings? Aaron, by far. I have five siblings, and he has nine.
Who wears the pants? I have more of a red personality, and Aaron is all white.
