Last Tuesday, the Tour of California (California's version of the Tour de France) came through Sacramento. I picked Aaron up from the office, and we headed downtown with Mari. We parked at the first spot we could find and made the trek to the Capitol. My dad works near there, so we met up with him and stood on Capitol Mall waiting for the cyclists to come. Aaron's parent's also joined us. Because the sky was pouring rain, the cyclists were delayed a bit, so we stood out in the rain for about an hour waiting for them to come. Finally, they arrived!

They had to make four laps around the capitol before crossing the finish line, so we got to see them come around four times. I was amazed at how fast they went: much faster than the speed limit on those streets! Despite the rain, we had a good time and plan on seeing it again next year!
