Mari's first Halloween was a success. She absolutely loved trick-or-treatin'. Aaron and I took her to a few houses, and she loved walking around with her pumpkin bucket and gathering treats. She grabbed the Tootsie Pop right away. I tried to take it away from her so I could hold her other hand, but she screamed at me. So I held her wrist, and she kept the Tootsie Pop. She started sucking on it with the wrapper on. Is it bad that I let her do that? Anyway, the first place we went to gave her some glow-stick bracelets so she could be seen in the dark, and we put them around her ankles. She looked so cute walking down the street with her pumpkin in one hand, the Tootsie Pop in another hand, and the glow-sticks around her ankles. After we got back to the house, she took off outside once the door was left open, and she wanted to do some more trick or treatin'! I think we are going to have fun with her birthday being so close to Halloween in the years following. I am already making plans of having costume parties for her birthday. I love being a mom. I especially love being a mom to a wonderful little girl.
Uncle Bradford went trick or treatin' with her too. If you can't tell what her shirt says, it's "Who needs a costume when you're already a Princess." A grandma obviously got it for her. ;)She didn't put the Tootsie Pop down for an hour. It still had the wrapper on.

Your little girl is an absolute doll! I love the glow sticks around the ankles. :) Has she ever tasted a tootsie pop before or did she just instinctively know what to do with it?
I've been having some tootsie pops recently, and she always tries to steal it out of my mouth. When she saw a round thing on a stick, I think she assumed that it was the same thing. Too bad she didn't know to take off the wrapper. She could have gotten a lot more satisfaction from it!
So cute! It looks like you guys had a great Halloween!
