We had a great 4th this year. First, we had the best ward pancake breakfast I've ever been to.

Then we went to my parents' house for a delicious meal of salmon and corn. Mari loves shucking corn!

After swimming at my cousins' house, we went to my grandparents' house and had another delicious meal (I think I gained 5 pounds all in that day).

After the fabulous dessert my mom made, we had fireworks. We actually went and bought the fireworks this year! I didn't know fireworks were so expensive, so we had a total of 6 fireworks in all, but it was just enough (and that was with buy one get one free!). Mari's was 8 months old at her first 4th of July, and she didn't like the fireworks at all. Last year, we were in Tahoe (remember my bear encounter), so this was her first year back with fireworks. She loved the sparklers we got. Although, she didn't understand that what she was holding was fire, so she would chase people around with her sparkler. I tried to talk some sense into her, but miraculously, no one was burned that night.

I was pretty surprised at how much she enjoyed the fireworks, loud noises and all. She had a great time, so we had a great time.

Looks like fun! I'm glad Mari likes the fireworks now. Reagan has always liked them. When she was 6 months old we took her to a huge show and she loved it. It must be because she was born on the 4th...she HAS to like them!
What made the pancake breakfast the best ever?! After missing my home ward's for years and being in wards that do nothing, I've decided to have my own next year. So let me know what made is so great! Mari is unbelievably cute. Hope you're feeling well. I love that you're having another girl. Not only did we get married the same month, had our first girl in the same month (I think!), but then another girl second! I hope you're surviving the summer. I'm glad to only have a month and a half left! (BTW this is Sarah, Aaron's cousin - just in case you weren't sure!)
You have the CUTEST little girl!!!!
