My Grandmother's Dress

Mari and I are going to Oregon this week to visit my great-grandmother (Mari's great-great-grandmother) for her 90th birthday. When my mom helped my great-grandmother, Grandma West, clean out her house last year, she found this yellow dress that Grandma West wore when she was probably about my age. The dress is 70 years old! For a present for Grandma West, my mom had Aaron and me recreate the picture she had of Grandma West wearing the yellow dress and my great-grandfather wearing a vest, tie, and hat. At first, I was a bit skeptical about the whole thing, but once we started the photo shoot, we had a blast! I don't think we've ever had so much fun taking pictures! It felt like we were in high school taking pictures before prom. I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I do!

I love this dress :) It doesn't look 70 years old in the pictures and that will be so fun for you to show her when you go up there! You guys are such a cute couple.
