Mari is 3!

We got out of the hospital with Alice the day before Mari's birthday. So we celebrated Mari's birthday at Grandma and Grandpa Hogge's house.
The highlight of the evening was definitely the yellow puppy dog cake. Earlier this summer, Mari decided she wanted a yellow puppy dog cake for her birthday. Knowing that I would probably have an infant around her birthday, we put in an order with Grandma Hogge.
Grandma did a bunch of research on puppy cakes and came up with this design. Isn't it great! If I had done it, it would have been a sheet cake with a yellow puppy poorly drawn on it. But her's was 3-D!
Mari enjoyed the whole day. She knew it was her day!
The only problem with the puppy cake was that Mari didn't want to cut into it! We let her pet it, then Aaron and I took her out of view of the cake and opened some toys she got for her birthday. Disaster averted!

That is an awesome cake, and it's cute that she didn't want it cut. I don't blame her! Haha.
I hope you're doing well. How's life now with two kids?
